Children’s Boot Fund
In celebration of World Book Day, some of our teachers have shared their favourite stories for you to enjoy at home. These are available on your child’s Google Classroom stream and will soon be available to watch on our school website 🤩🤩📚 pic.twitter.com/PmGv35Ea24— Sowe Valley Primary School (@SoweVPrimary) March 8, 2024
Parents or guardians who find themselves in need of help may apply for assistance from the Children’s Boot Fund to purchase a pair of school schools for their child. Successful applications are issued with a voucher which can be exchanged for a pair of good quality, properly fitted shoes suitable for school.
How to apply
To apply please collect an application form from Claire Witt and return the completed form to school. The application will be signed by the Headteacher and is then sent by the school to the Charity. Applications can be made during February, May and September, any applications made after these months will be saved until the following collection month.
Who qualifies?
Your child must be of school age, and a regular attendee at a Coventry school. Normally only one child per family is granted a voucher within a twelve month period, but exceptions for families in difficult circumstances can be made and applications for twins are usually each given shoes.
